Dr. Cheung founded the first one-stop breast health clinic in Hong Kong and introduced a diagnostic method that combined needle biopsy procedures with breast ultrasound testing. He was also the first doctor in Hong Kong to perform breast preservation and breast reconstruction surgeries for patients. The first breast cancer screening program was launched in 1990, and the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 2005. In 2011, the foundation established a community breast health center to provide breast health screening and diagnostic services to low-income women. Dr. Cheung has made a lot of contributions to the development of breast cancer prevention and treatment. He was awarded a Master of Surgery degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2012 for his clinical research on the application of sentinel lymph node examination in Chinese breast cancer patients. He has worked at Queen Mary Hospital and Kwong Wah Hospital for 18 years. Dr. Hung is an honorary consultant of the Women's Health Screening Department of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Hong Kong Medical Journal and a council member of the Hong Kong Society of Breast Surgery.
