The Making Process The creation of our ceramic incense holders begins with carefully kneading the clay to achieve a uniform texture, followed by portioning the clay according to the desired weight. It is then shaped and its height adjusted before undergoing approximately three hours of natural air-drying. After drying, artisans hand-paint each piece with natural mineral pigments, applying 4 to 5 coats to achieve the ideal saturation of color. It is then fired in a kiln, allowing the colors to meld with the clay. The final crucial step involves a traditional smoking technique using mango leaves, followed by another period in the kiln for approximately two hours. This process not only imparts a unique hue and aroma to the pottery but also serves as a homage to nature and tradition. After being removed from the kiln, it is cleaned and meticulously finished, resulting in each incense holder that is both simple and extraordinary.
