Only the brown is made by trimming a stamp that is pressed by a tanner (a company that turns skins into leather), which is only pressed one on the back of each piece of leather. [Main Pocket] This pocket is made using a method known as wet forming, or leather squeezing. This involves wetting tanned leather and then drying it in a mold, which allows it to retain its shape. It can hold approximately 30-40 cards. It's not too deep, making it easy to access business cards. A leather pad is attached to the back of the snap closure to protect business cards. [Sub-Pocket] This pocket can hold 3-4 cards stacked on top of each other for temporary storage. It's deeper than the main pocket, but this is designed to provide maximum coverage and protect business cards from scratches. The snap closure is attached to the leather in front of this pocket, so the metal hardware on the back of the snap closure won't leave marks on the cards. The front of the sub-pocket features a pocket with brogue-style eyelets, a style often found on leather shoes. A thin layer of leather is attached to the back of the snap closure for protection. However, using this pocket as a business card pocket may leave metal hardware marks, so we recommend storing cards here when not using the divider. [Divider] If you have received a lot of business cards or would like to use two types of your own business cards, you can divide the main pocket into two compartments by inserting a divider. [About the Leather] Both the outer and inner leather are made from high-quality Italian cowhide, "Buttero". This is tanned leather, which has been transformed from "skin" into "leather" over a long period of time. With use, the color will gradually darken and develop a lustrous texture, gradually developing a patina (aging) effect. Faint veins, scars, and wrinkles from the animal's life may be visible on the surface of the leather, resulting in uneven coloring.
