Pesticide-free Honey Black Tea ( jassid-bitten )

Our tea garden rests in the summer; the rarer presence of tea jassids produces our house specialty -- a limited harvest with a unique honey flavor and rich, complex body. We have 40 years of experience in nature-dependent, pesticide-free tea farming. After extended research, we crafted a tea with more antioxidants and less caffeine for those with health conditions sensitive to tea consumption. The one-of-a-kind taste is noticeable on the first try. Twenty years ago, our tea farmer parents wanted to craft their own pesticide-free tea.  It was a race against natural growth of weeds; farming required handpicking them as they grow. What’s special about LiPing tea? Along with being pesticide and herbicide free, the tea is handpicked.  The tea is grown in winter and spring, producing a sweeter, higher quality tea. What is honey-scented tea? Honey-scented tea is limited.  Tea jassids feed on the tea plants, allowing for a supreme honey scent.  This tea needs to be handpicked; many hours of labor produces only a small amount due to its rarity. If there are tea jassids, does that mean there aren’t pesticides? No. Tea jassids are immune to pesticides. However, as LiPing farms are organically certified, we do not use pesticides. Without pesticides, the natural ecosystem remains undisturbed.  Tea jassids will feed on the tea plants and the plants release an aroma to attract the jassids’ natural enemies, allowing for balance. Does the first brew have to be dumped? No, our products are pesticide-free, so you do not need to worry about "washing out" any chemicals. Many tea experts say the first brew contains essential flavors, including ginsenoside. LiPing tea's signature floral, fruity fragrance Taiwan proudly produces tea without artificial fragrance.
