→About the Artist
I've known Teacher Hsu for about eight or nine years. I remember when he first walked into my cafe, his youthful innocence was still evident on his face; a fine young man.
Our relationship evolved from a casual customer to a regular, and then to a friend. I've also watched him grow from student Hsu to Teacher Hsu. I attended his graduation exhibition at Bopiliao, which was truly remarkable! The background image on my phone is still that whale from his work. If you ever have the chance, you must visit Yilan and see that ceramic whale sculpture in person. It's incredibly lifelike, and the artwork expresses a deep concern for environmental ecology, as well as the whale's journey of growth. The Taiwanese island carried on its back symbolizes hope for this land, alongside a sense of helplessness. Many of his thoughts and spirit are conveyed through that series of works; it's truly spectacular.
Each piece is a heartfelt creation by the artist. From the glaze color to the form, every element is the result of careful consideration. And practicality is an element Teacher Hsu values most; "functional pottery" is a phrase that frequently comes from his lips!
The bottom of each vessel features Teacher Hsu's handwritten, official script signature, the character "嘉" (Jia). Every stroke conveys his dedication to his craft and his passion for pottery.
I hope we all continue to thrive, and that the world finds peace and stability. I also hope our friends who appreciate our work will continue to support us as we all move forward together.

→Purchase Notes
* Most products in this design 館 are purely handmade, and the glaze or ash distribution on each piece varies. This is precisely what gives ceramic art its charm. Therefore, once a single piece is sold out, it will not be restocked, and an identical piece cannot be found. If a piece you admire is purchased by someone else, we regret that you will have to choose another item from our design 館。We apologize for any inconvenience. Alternatively, you may contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
* Dimensions are measured by hand and may have a margin of error within 0.5 cm.
* Pieces may exhibit certain marks from the crafting process, as they are either entirely or partially handmade. These operational traces are to be expected.
* During the firing process, glaze may exhibit natural distribution patterns. This is entirely normal and is precisely what NATURE GLAZE emphasizes – that ceramics are inherently natural. If you have any questions about the product, please send us a private message.
* Product images are taken in a studio setting with adjusted lighting and environment, but without any post-production editing. Please refer to the actual product color for accuracy, as variations will not be considered defects.
