I want to put it in the living room, so I want something that matches the other furniture.
It is best to have something that does not look like a Buddhist altar at first glance.
Not a big one, but something compact.
Over the past few years, as we have received inquiries from customers about Buddhist altars, the three requests above are the most common.
So, I would like to introduce one basic design of a Buddhist altar with L-shaped legs, frame and ash wood that I have come up with so far. It has a simple rectangular sharp structure, and is characterized by a design that is supported by a total of four points, L-shaped wooden legs and thin pin-shaped legs at the front and back. The distinctive legs are different from the solid feel of a typical Buddhist altar. In my image, the Buddhist altar is a place for the deceased who have been called to heaven, so I made the main body appear to be slightly raised.
The asymmetrical double doors are made with a frame (a method of assembling a frame and inserting a thin board called a mirror board) and are locked by turning the handle. The board on the back of the handle only holds the board on the left, so it only serves to prevent the door from flapping. However, the analogue rotating motion of the handle on an axis that is offset from the center is a bit unique, and it feels good to open and close. It has been well received by past customers and has become one of our standard styles.
The body is made of light ash, with dark walnut used in the centre of the back panel, the handles and the edges of the stand to add contrast.
There is a low altar inside. It can also be placed in front of you.
The idea is to place the principal image and memorial tablets on a stepped platform, but you can use it however you like.
You can place a small urn, personal belongings, or photographs...
There are other options to consider besides placing specific Buddhist altar items.
It is important to pray with sincerity every day.
The back of ZEROSSO Buddhist altars is also beautiful, so when you place them on a living room cabinet or the like, it is no problem to place them in a way that slightly shows the back.
The large, gorgeous Buddhist altars that have been around for a long time are no longer suited to modern life, where there is no room for a Buddhist altar. However, it is also true that many people still want to have a Buddhist altar, and want to place it somewhere close to home, such as the living room.
One option to meet such wishes is a Buddhist altar.
