He holds a Bachelor's degree from University College London and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Princeton University, where he also received the 2007 Princeton Graduate Alumni Association's Annual Teaching Award. After an eight-year full-time tenure at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, he now serves as an honorary program consultant and part-time lecturer for its Gifted Education Programme.
