Mr. Nakamura, a humble yet distinguished master, has retired from the kimono-making profession but continues to design clasped purses using his lifelong passion for kimono fabrics. 【Premium Kimono Tsumugi Series】 The artisan's lifelong dedication is evident in every detail and material selection. This piece features the rare "Oshima Tsumugi." This exquisite kimono textile from Oshima Tsumugi, Japan, is made by first dyeing silk threads with mineral mud before weaving them into fabric. The intricate process involves twenty to thirty steps, and today, only a handful of artisans carry on this tradition, making it increasingly rare. It is exclusively used in the creation of high-end kimonos in Japan. - The hallmark of "Oshima Tsumugi" lies in its subtle, resonant low-saturation patterns, which are incredibly timeless and perfectly suited for modern everyday wear.
