I refer to myself as a "stamp carving professional." Currently residing in Taiwan, I work diligently in an old apartment in Taipei, dedicated to carving and creating stamps. Formerly a magazine and book editor at a publishing house, I now focus full-time on stamp design. Each season, I release newly crafted original stamps. My collected works, volumes 1-8, feature over 100 unique stamps. My published books include: "A Handcrafted Life in 12 Hours a Week," "Rubber Stamps, Open the Door!", and "12 Lessons for Beginner Rubber Stampers: Next Stamp Class." Using erasers as my primary carving material, each stamp is meticulously carved with deliberate strokes. My stamp designs often draw inspiration from everyday observations, landscapes and encounters during travels, and things I deeply appreciate (incorporating elements like text, flora, geometric shapes, nature, architecture, etc.). I then deconstruct and recombine these elements, employing multi-layered lines and planes, minimalist primary and secondary lines, foreign text, and personal symbols to construct the stamp imagery. I enjoy combining stamps and colors, orchestrating unique interactions, collaborations, and repetitions between stamps of various sizes. Many of my graphic designs are derived from segments of my stamps, extended through printing and layering (e.g., postcards, washi tape).
