- This wood-fired piece showcases a natural transformation from high-temperature firing, presenting a surface with both glossy glaze and a subtly matte, textured finish. The glaze slightly contracts in the heat, creating delicate undulations in certain areas, lending it an antique, rustic charm reminiscent of aged artifacts. These are not artificial aging effects, but the genuine marks left by high temperatures and falling ash within the kiln, imbuing the piece with a grounded, enduring aesthetic.
