For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to start by dipping it in ink for initial writing. (Do not remove the converter installed inside the pen body; this prevents ink backflow into the pen when writing.) After a period of writing, allowing the nib to settle, you may then use the converter for refilling. 2. The calligraphy nib is created by grinding and adjusting an EF nib to achieve a curved, arc-like tip. Line thickness is controlled not by applying pressure, but by adjusting the writing angle.
