This medium-sized bowl is made of fine-grained white clay that brings out the color of the glaze, and is covered with a warm white matte glaze with a slight off-white hue. A blue crystalline glaze is brushed over the white matte glaze. By layering two glazes, the blue glaze takes on a soft, gentle color. The color reminds me of flowing water and hydrangeas. This vessel is a little shallow to be called a pot. Recommended for simmered dishes, stir-fries, salads, etc. It can also be used in stews such as pot-au-feu, and desserts such as fruit and cereal. Enjoy it with a variety of dishes and ingredients. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and all processes, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are done by hand.
