For calligraphy nibs, it's generally recommended to first dip the nib in ink and allow it to break in for a period before using an ink converter. 2. If ink flow is interrupted when using a converter, check the angle of the pen. Ensure both iridium points touch the paper simultaneously. If interruption persists, check the nib for paper fibers or debris. 3. Remove the converter and try filling the pen directly with ink. 4. Rinse the nib. If writing with one iridium point predominantly or applying excessive pressure, the iridium points can become misaligned, leading to scratching and paper fiber buildup in the gap. 5.
