|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
Jadeite nourishes the body for three years, and in turn, jadeite nourishes the person for a lifetime.
While crystals possess strong magnetic fields, they require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, has a gentle and mild nature. Though its magnetic field may not be as powerful as crystals, the energy of jadeite is exceptionally clean and pure, exerting only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate (NaAI[Si2O6]), often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron.
Purple: Contains manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer.
Trace element "calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily found in bones and teeth, with its presence also in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of human life activities, fulfilling important physiological functions across all stages of growth and development, from infancy to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable element for maintaining human health and longevity, a macromineral the body cannot lack.
Trace element "chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. It can increase insulin sensitivity in individuals with type 2 diabetes, help obese individuals control cholesterol and blood sugar, and is lost faster in individuals under high stress. Therefore, these three groups have a particular need for chromium.
Trace element "nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. An adult body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, with unabsorbed nickel being excreted mainly through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a nutrient necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements having a synergistic effect. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation in the body, linking it to the occurrence of many chronic diseases, particularly the mortality rate of cardiovascular diseases. Some studies have shown that people who drink hard water, with relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels reduce the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the "essential trace elements." An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven-tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research has revealed the potent therapeutic capabilities of jadeite. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating chest tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help treat common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a lasting effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have effects such as "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, benefiting the five internal organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordinated balance of physiological functions in the body's organs.
Nourishing the skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can directly contact the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite enter the body, nourishing women's skin and making them appear more fair and radiant.
Cooling and relieving heat: Jadeite's cool characteristic is soothing and helps relieve summer heat. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to relieve heat and refresh herself in the summer. Since then, summer has become a cool season. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to dissipate heat.
The above are all evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is that when feeling down or stressed, looking at jadeite provides an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if receiving comfort.
