This technique is characterized by repeatedly applying lacquer and wiping it off, layering it little by little to bring out the texture of the wood and texture. It is characterized by a rough texture due to the fine particles of the lacquer itself. The tips of the chopsticks are square, making it easy to pick up food. It features a shape that is both easy to hold and easy to pick up. The design is not too flashy with the subtle gold on the chopstick heads. Re-lacquering of the tips of Kezuri chopsticks can be done by picking them up at a Hyosaemon store.
