The nib is a German Bock #180 (#5) small standard titanium nib, handcrafted and tuned by Old Goat artisans into a calligraphy nib. For calligraphy nibs, it is recommended to start by dipping the nib in ink for writing (do not remove the converter installed in the pen barrel to prevent ink backflow into the pen body after writing). Allow time to break in and adapt to the nib's characteristics before using the converter for filling and writing. 2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib ground and adjusted to have a curved, arched tip. Line width variation is not solely achieved by applying pressure, but rather by the angle of the pen holder. By utilizing the arc of the nib's tip, you can achieve varied line widths. Holding the pen at a more upright angle reduces the contact area between the nib and the paper, resulting in thinner lines. As the pen holder angle becomes more slanted or with slight pressure, the contact area between the nib and paper increases, producing thicker lines. The ability to write both thick and thin lines depends on your proficiency (each nib has a certain limit to the pressure it can withstand; do not apply excessive force to avoid damaging or misaligning the nib.
