Brass Care Instructions: Brass has long been a favored material for jewelry, appreciated for its accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, with its color deepening due to exposure to rain, sweat, and air. While some appreciate this natural patina, to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable pouch when not being worn. If the luster appears to have faded, here are a few simple methods to restore your item's original radiance. Please note that if the brass has been physically scratched, while its color can be revived, its polished sheen may not be fully recoverable (though the matte, antique bronze look is also quite beautiful!). ♦ Use a toothbrush dipped in a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and gently scrub, similar to brushing your teeth, to restore brass's luster.
