Vintage Chanel Black Lambskin Half-Moon Chain Bag

This 1988 Chanel black lambskin turn-lock half-moon chain bag features an interior authenticity sticker with a 7-digit serial number starting with 0. While it does not come with its original card, it includes the original black dust bag and a matching original box with the sticker number. This is a pre-owned bag with exceptionally well-preserved accessories for its age in today's market. Regarding its condition, the bag is in excellent overall shape. The lambskin is smooth and lustrous, with no scuffing or color transfer on the corners. The 24K gold-plated chain and turn-lock clasp remain brilliantly shiny, showing no signs of fading. The only minor imperfection is two slight indentations on the back of the bag from the chain. Otherwise, there are no significant flaws to note. The red fabric interior is also very clean, with no stickiness or peeling. The authenticity sticker is located below the zipper pocket and is a 6-digit number. In early 0-series serial numbers, the leading 0 on the sticker is sometimes omitted, but the original box sticker does include the 0. The half-moon bag is a charming design, one of my personal favorites among Vintage Chanel pieces. I particularly appreciate the natural luster of the lambskin, which lacks the artificial, puffy feel often seen in replicas. Vintage leather develops a beautiful sheen with use, and when paired with its timeless 24K gold chain, the combination is truly stunning.
