Pinus Ponderosa (Ponderosa Pine), also known as the western yellow pine, is a coniferous tree native to the Rocky Mountains in North America. It then became the most widely planted exotic tree species in the Patagonian Andes region in Argentina. Traditionally, the Indigenous people use the boughs of Pinus Ponderosa to treat muscular pains and skin problems, while the needles are used for treating coughs and fever. Pinus Ponderosa has a pinery and fresh scent with a note of honey, which is widely used for aromatherapy.
