Therefore, **regular cleansing is essential**. It's recommended to establish a routine for cleansing your crystals, perhaps on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for cleansing crystals, detailed in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is often mentioned, it can be damaging to certain crystals and metals. For this reason, I personally do not recommend this method. If you have small pieces of White/Amethyst Quartz, or a geode/cluster, you can place your crystals on or within them when not in use. Of course, these cleansing tools also need regular purification, which can be done through sunlight or moonlight exposure. Personally, I find **smoke cleansing** to be the most effective! You can use palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage, or incense, and **purify your crystals with the smoke**.
