# Pattern Design
To create a shirt with an architectural feel,
the fabric itself utilizes different cutting directions of the pattern pieces to create an irregular structure.
Then, pleats are used to give the sleeves volume, much like Toyo Ito's columnar structures.
This results in a garment that is both soft and structurally defined.

- # Fabric Design Those with a keen eye for architecture might recognize it upon closer inspection. The distinctive columnar tree-like structure and the streamlined exterior form are inspired by the signature works of architect Toyo Ito – the Opera House and the University Library. However, the depiction here is of Ito as remembered in my mind, so what you see on-site might not be exactly like this.
