Brass Care Instructions: Brass has consistently been a highly favored material for jewelry due to its accessible price point and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, with its color deepening due to exposure to rain, sweat, and air. While some appreciate this natural patina, preventive measures can be taken to maintain its original appearance: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ Store in a resealable pouch when not being worn. If the luster begins to dim, a few simple methods can help restore your item's original brilliance. Please note that while color can be restored after scratching, the original shine may not be fully recovered (though the matte, antique bronze look is also quite beautiful!). ♦ Gently scrub with a toothbrush and a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder, similar to brushing your teeth, to restore shine. Ensure the item is dried thoroughly afterward. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth for a quick return to brightness (not suitable for brushed finishes). ♦ Dilute lemon juice, immerse the brass item for about 5 minutes, and it will quickly regain its shine (not suitable for natural beads sensitive to acid, such as pearls).
