This one-of-a-kind piece is hand-sewn from vintage KIMONO fabric. A jumper dress is made with plentiful fabric. The chest button allows you to adjust the size easily. It is lined with soft cotton around the chest. Both sides are tucked for a loose fit. The pocket is on one side (right) only. My items are easy to upcycle, as they return to a square piece of cloth when unraveled (unsew). Such treatment of KIMONO is the very spirit of the Japanese, which I want to carry on. The KIMONO fabrics I use were given to me by old friends and fans of my work, or found at thrift stores. ------- **Mostly hand-sewn** except some joining by sewing machine. Old KIMONO fabrics with a soft weave can move and wrinkle later when sewn with a sewing machine, but hand sewing can flexibly accommodate fabric movement. I hope you enjoy the smooth touch and silhouette only hand-sewn can provide. All items are sewn by the artist alone and are one-of-a-kind. A tag with the material and the artist's signature is sewn onto the back. It can be easily removed and you can take it off if you like when you wear it. [About care] KIMONO fabrics are delicate and prone to color fading, color migration, and shrinkage. Dry cleaning is generally recommended. You can try the attached scrap to wash it at home.
