Tetrad Handcrafted Wooden Tissue Box S ∣ Reclaimed Wood Series ∣ Dark Lauan Wood

**Infusing warmth into your space** Tissues play a significant role in our daily lives, and we want to provide them with a dignified home. Moving away from the traditional rigid, boxy form, we utilize bentwood technology to outline the elegant lines and proportions of this tissue box. The base is wide and stable, accommodating a full pack of tissues, while the top slightly tapers inward, creating a silhouette that appears visually light. The waist-shaped opening is designed to mimic the feeling of pulling a tissue through a gap in a tree. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223239444_5cbd7211f4_b.jpg **Bentwood Craftsmanship** ▪︎ "Layered Wood Veneer Bentwood Craftsmanship" involves stacking multiple layers of real wood veneer, placing them into a specialized mold, and using controlled pressure and heat to bend the veneer into shape. The body of the Tetrad tissue box is molded from 6 layers of real wood veneer to create a warm and elegant curve. ▪︎ The dark version uses veneer sliced from reclaimed lauan wood, while the light version uses veneer sliced from reclaimed cypress; neither uses mixed wood or cheap veneer. ▪︎ Compared to carving from solid wood, using layered wood veneer maximizes the use of our reclaimed old timber. This is a tribute to resources and a friendly choice for the land. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222991901_d6dd7a1a91_b.jpg **Magnetic Base Cover** Easy to open and close, making replacements effortless. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223154678_3def4a6d40_b.jpg **Cloth Bag Packaging** Reusable, reducing the burden on the planet. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223238809_9f055763cf_b.jpg **Materials and Processing** ▪︎ The Reclaimed Wood series uses door frames salvaged from old buildings for its material source; small surface marks are a normal characteristic. ▪︎ Dark Lauan wood version: Small circular holes commonly found in door frames are traces of past insect activity. After being processed by high-temperature drying, the wood veneer is thoroughly disinfected, and the multi-layered structure of the bentwood craftsmanship effectively prevents further insect damage. ▪︎ The tissue box is coated with natural wood oil to provide extra protection. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223399765_00948bec47_b.jpg **Reclaimed Wood Series** "Satisfying future needs with existing resources." With this core philosophy, META Design selects reclaimed wood as the material source for our bentwood products, providing a truly sustainable choice without the need for new timber. The Reclaimed Wood series uses door frames from old building demolitions. After complex processes such as removing nails, stripping paint, patching, and soaking, the wood is sliced into 1mm thin veneers by machines. We then use our expertise in bentwood craftsmanship to create refined wooden lighting and home decor. Old buildings used solid materials; door frames often feature sturdy lauan or precious cypress. This is not only a tribute to and appreciation of natural resources but also a way to preserve memories. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222143597_4a17b06826_b.jpg Door frames preserved during the demolition of old buildings become the material source for the Reclaimed Wood series. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222202797_91c366f9dd_b.jpg Before being placed on the slicing machine, the wood undergoes processes such as nail removal, paint stripping, patching, and soaking. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55222143587_c860cda905_b.jpg The blades on the machine move back and forth, slicing the door frames into 1mm thin wood veneer. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223045246_d5cb04799c_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223291874_3b1c9bf656_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/55223236464_c258337720_b.jpg **Product Specifications** Dimensions: L 16.5 x W 13 x H 10.5 cm Capacity: 100-150 tissues Material: Lauan wood veneer (body), MDF (base cover) Finish: German natural wood oil Origin: Taiwan **Use and Care Instructions** Please wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
