If stained with makeup, gently wipe with a makeup remover first to lift some of the stain, then wash with detergent. (Do not use bleach.) If machine washing, please place the hairband in a laundry bag. As pure cotton fabric is prone to wrinkling, after spinning or wringing, be sure to "shake it out and lay it flat to dry." (Avoid direct sunlight, as it can be detrimental to cotton fibers.) * If the fabric is very wrinkled, you can place a thin piece of cotton cloth over the hairband and iron it flat with a 100-degree Celsius iron.
