[Author Biography] Sunny Chan Director and screenwriter of the films "The Way We Keep Going" and the "Table for Six" series. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Screenwriting from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and began his career in the film industry as a screenwriter. He later obtained a Master of Arts degree in Chinese Literature from Lingnan University. He currently lectures on "Screenwriting and Creative Development" at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He has contributed to the screenplays of numerous films, including "Love in the Time of Twilight" (2001), the "Love Undercover" series (2002-2005), "Next Station Cinderella" (2003), and "2 Young 4 Me" (2004). Beginning his directing career in 2018, he has received multiple nominations for "Best Director," "Best Screenplay," and "Best New Director" at the Hong Kong Film Awards for his self-written and directed works, "The Way We Keep Going" (2018) and "Table for Six" (2022). Notably, "Table for Six" became the highest-grossing Hong Kong Chinese-language comedy film of all time, with a box office exceeding HK$77 million. Beyond his film work, he has also engaged in a variety of other creative projects. His works include stage plays such as "The New World" (2023) and "Table for Six – The Stage Play" (2023); music video direction for "A Tree for a Hundred Years" (2018) and "Bowtie" (2019); radio dramas like "Can't Wait to Tell You I Love You" (2006) and "Tang Qi Space Station" (2015); and he has produced and hosted the television talk show "Director's Door" series (2022-2024), among others.
