Why be a good person?
How important is luck?
Is death scary?
This book is a true record of ten written talks between two philosophy professors, Wang Weixiong and Liu Chuangfu. Although there is no contest or victory, they each went all out to clarify and demonstrate their opinions.
Some of the big issues discussed in the book, even if they don't seem so philosophical, show a philosophical aspect during the discussion. The form of dialogue makes the readers naturally react, such as "Why didn't I think of it before", "There will be loopholes in thinking this way", "How should I refute it if it is", etc., which indirectly invites readers to participate in the debate. As the two philosophers dive into big issues step by step, readers can see the multiple perspectives and depths of philosophical speculation, and even feel as if they are clearing the clouds.

My experience reading this book was both stimulating and comfortable. The dialogue between the two philosophical minds challenged each other. The back-and-forth speculation deepened the understanding of the problem on both sides, which stimulated my thinking very much. While reading, I often ask, "Where should I think more about this? Which books should I read? What is my point of view?" Conversing with a non-winning attitude and thinking frankly and openly about the big issues of life and the times made me feel comfortable to read and enjoy a kind of intellectual pleasure.

Today, the life world of modern people has become more and more complicated and strange. It is rare for the two people in the Chinese philosophical circle to work together again to study a series of "big questions" in depth, exploring the subtleties. Every chapter in this book is a feast of thought! Since it can be called a "big question", these discussions will certainly not lead to a clear conclusion, but through the author's frank but sharp reciprocating questions on these issues, after reading this book, it will definitely help readers to clear their myths, and It can be used as a reference when facing various related doubts.
——Guan Ziyin, Professor Emeritus, Department of Philosophy, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Overwhelming false information pervades every corner of society. The best defense against this "virus" is to consolidate one's ability to think critically. The dialogue between the two philosophy professors in this book is not about the subject matter, nor about who is right and who is wrong about the two viewpoints. The greatest gain from reading this book is to listen to the ideological approaches developed by two scholars with profound philosophical training on different topics. It is of great benefit to readers to examine their own blind spots.
