You can also dampen a paper towel with edible oil and wipe it several times to easily remove any residual gray titanium powder from the processing. Then, wash with a neutral detergent. As edible oil is used for stamping and no acid washing is performed, residual gray titanium powder is unavoidable. This is a safe, non-toxic pure titanium manufacturing process, so you can scrub it with confidence. 2. For burnt-on food or stubborn stains, gently scrub with the firmer side of a sponge or a soft steel brush. 3. If the colored surface of the titanium is brushed off, revealing the original color, rest assured that since it is not a coating, the pure titanium is safe, non-toxic, and free from harmful heavy metals. You can scrub it with peace of mind. 4. Do not soak with stain removers, hydrogen peroxide, or sodium percarbonate cleaners, as these will reverse the color and luster of the titanium, and it cannot be restored.
