Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1983, Kwood, with a background in craft design, once wandered the streets of Japan, experiencing how wooden art infused warm and profound life into old alleys. Objects that seemed like fragments of time, carrying traces of history and outlines of the future, sought a delicate balance between opposition and harmony, transforming into exquisite works that closely connect the vision of the new generation with the simplicity of the old era. Agarwood, once ground into powder for fragrance, was solemnly placed in the most prominent area of the home in Japan, symbolizing vitality and light.
The agarwood is sourced directly from its origin, pure and unblemished, free from artificial processes like boiling glue, drawing lines, or using fragrances. It is presented in its most natural state. Through ancient scent-extraction techniques, the outer layer of the deadwood is meticulously hand-peeled, revealing the true soul of the agarwood. This not only imbues it with eternal vitality but also allows tradition and modern craftsmanship to subtly intertwine at the fingertips, creating a feast for the eyes and nose. The rich aroma, like solidified time, gently draws together memories of the past and aspirations for the future, allowing them to meet and resonate within the fragrance, continuously extending, distant, and profound.
