This allowed Van Dell to cultivate a distinctive design language. While brands like Krementz occupied a similar market position, and Sorrento and Am Lee applied similar filigree techniques, seasoned collectors can easily discern the unique character and style that belongs to Van Dell. In the later years of the 20th century, Van Dell was acquired by the Colibri Company of London, which also owned Krementz.
