Vintage Dutch ashtray with windmill design made by Petrus Regout. The Royal Sphinx factory was established by Petrus Regout in 1834 in Maastricht, and it later changed to Petrus Regout & Co. In 1899 the company's name was changed to De Sphinx, and it merged with Société Céramique in 1958. It became Royal Sphinx in 1960 and stayed operational until 2010. This item has some wear on the print, surface marks, craquelure and discoloration as well as possible small production flaws. There is a 2cm crack on one side.
