These earrings are crafted from Arita porcelain, repurposed from plates that were once cracked or chipped and no longer in use. The porcelain shards are polished and then meticulously mended with gold, then paired with natural stones – Sardonyx and Golden Rutilated Quartz ໒꒱·̩͙
The asymmetry of the designs on each earring offers a unique charm, highlighting the vibrant, traditional artistry characteristic of Arita ware ✩.* ̊
The left earring features a white background with a red pattern, while the right earring showcases a red base adorned with yellow and white floral motifs ❁⃘*.゚
The warm orange hues of Sardonyx complement the beautiful translucency of Golden Rutilated Quartz perfectly.

・About Arita Porcelain... A type of ceramic produced in and around Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. It is said to be the first porcelain ever made in Japan, and has been cherished for over 400 years as tableware and crafts. Its characteristic pure white, once praised by European aristocracy as "white gold," is truly exquisite. Often seen with indigo blue underglaze or vivid painted designs, it exudes a dignified and elegant presence.
..................
・Sardonyx... Characterized by its distinctive orange and red banding. Each stone possesses a unique expression. The name derives from the combination of "sard" (referring to red or brown) and "onyx" (agate). This stone is mentioned in many historical records and is known to symbolize marital happiness and good fortune in marriage. In Japan, it is said that the colossal sacred object enshrined at Izumo Taisha, famous for matchmaking, is made of Sardonyx.
・Golden Rutilated Quartz... Believed to enhance intuition and judgment regarding wealth, guiding you towards success.

Weighing approximately 1g per earring (excluding the metal finding), they offer an exceptionally lightweight and comfortable feel.

〈About the Artwork〉
※ The metal findings and the base of the Kintsugi repair are reinforced with UV resin. Please understand that there may be slight resin overflow.
※ For some pieces (such as those with translucent materials like sea glass or natural stones), the metal findings may be changed to silver. Please rest assured that the material remains the same.
※ Kintsugi (Golden Joinery)... A traditional Japanese technique for restoring ceramics that are broken or chipped, using lacquer and gold powder to make them more beautiful.
※ We use "new urushi" which is less likely to cause rashes, and gold powder (brass powder), instead of traditional urushi lacquer.
※ As natural stones are natural, they may contain impurities, fine scratches, or small chips. Please understand that these are natural variations.
※ Please understand that variations in glaze are characteristic of handmade items. In particular, the sides of Mino ware tiles often show such variations.
※ As individual reactions to metal, resin, and urushi allergies vary, please discontinue use if you experience any skin reactions and consult a dermatologist. We cannot be held responsible for any injuries or allergic reactions caused by the product.
※ The actual color may differ slightly from the product image due to your monitor's display settings, brightness, and screen environment.
〈Care Instructions〉
※ Please handle with care, as applying strong force may cause damage.
※ Avoid rubbing the Kintsugi area forcefully or soaking it in water for extended periods, as this may cause it to detach. To clean, gently wipe away dirt with a soft cloth.
※ Store away from high temperatures, humidity, and direct sunlight.

※ Kintsugi (Golden Repair)... A unique traditional Japanese repair method that joins broken or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. We use a simplified Kintsugi technique for our creations, utilizing "new urushi" (which is less likely to cause rashes) and gold powder (brass powder), along with UV resin for reinforcement, differing from traditional urushi made from tree sap.
