Postcard Size: 135mm x 135mm
The little yellow duck is quite magical; it seems everyone adores it. From furry friends to children, even my eighty-something grandmother loves it. If the yellow duck were to grow larger, where would you take it?
Have you noticed the tuxedo cat has already "boarded the duck"? Where could it be going? It must be an exciting adventure!
Wishing you a pleasant journey with the yellow duck and the tuxedo cat.
When hung on the wall, it becomes the most adorable cat painting. We hope you'll find a sense of serene joy in these artworks, shared with the company of cats.

There's a little story behind how we came to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before preparing to fly to Korea for a meeting, a sudden lockdown was announced. It was lifted just before our flight, and after arriving safely in Korea, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding in, pushing us so tightly we could barely breathe and couldn't move. We were practically suspended in the air. We kept thinking, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stay on our feet. Thankfully, after a few stops, the dense crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station. We were shaken and in tears.
Later, after a few more stops, we left the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the turbulent storm we had just experienced. We, feeling lost and frightened, felt as if we had firmly returned to solid ground.
From the bottom of our hearts, we truly felt, "It's wonderful that cats exist in this world." Hyejin's cat creations are such treasures.
And so, this unexpected partnership came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modern sensibilities with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting. We are deeply fond of the retro, nostalgic feel in her works, reminiscent of the folk painting scrolls from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Each stroke meticulously renders exquisite details, creating artworks that invite prolonged admiration. Creating art with traditional Korean techniques requires immense patience. The artist applies delicate layers of color, achieving rich textures and deep, saturated hues. Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with soul and intricacy.

Each painting captures the essence of cats sharing our space. Their "unhurried and gentle" presence, their "quiet companionship," convey the artist's intended message. Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses her own cats as subjects, depicting them with mischievous yet sharp gazes – truly embodying the spirited and unique nature of cats. There's a captivating blend of contrast and harmony, a perfect fusion of tradition and modernity. By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, she portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art. She utilizes Hanji (traditional Korean paper) and the "Gongbi" (meticulous brushwork) technique, which are less common in the market. This paper lends a warm, gentle overall tone to the artwork, while the intricate Gongbi lines ensure exquisite detail.

This warm feeling, this wonderful combination, allows contemporary painting styles to integrate seamlessly.
