Bracelet with Emerald Green Roman Glass, Antique Bohemian Beads, Opal, Excavated Iridescent & Silvered Beads, and Tribal Brass

A bracelet connecting emerald green Roman glass, antique Bohemian beads, opals, excavated iridescent & silvered beads, and tribal brass. The elongated beads are Roman glass, dating back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE). The tubular pieces, originally part of bangles, are slightly curved. As they are antique, there may be minor chips, but these do not affect normal wear. The clear, oval beads are early 20th-century Bohemian beads. They show some age-related wear, which only enhances their wonderful character! (Bohemian bead dimensions: 0.8 cm width, 0.65 cm height) The whitish disc-shaped beads are excavated beads. The silvered beads excavated from Djenné, Mali, were originally all light blue, but some are now covered with a patina (deposit). Parts of them show iridescence, making them beautiful and deeply evocative. These beads date back to around the 14th century. The partially white, rugby-ball-shaped beads were crafted as beads in Roman times and are very precious Roman glass beads that were used in ornaments like necklaces. Roman glass dates back to the Roman Empire (27 BCE - 395 CE). You can see a beautiful iridescent sheen. Iridescence is a phenomenon where the glass's components chemically react with the soil's elements after being buried for a long time, creating this sparkling effect. This iridescence doesn't occur with all glass buried for extended periods; it only appears when numerous conditions align. The bracelet is adorned with opals in a disc shape, showcasing beautiful play-of-color. Between them are Karen silver beads with 18k gold plating, threaded internally. The tiny, granular beads are brass beads made by the Benin people of Africa. They feature incredibly intricate craftsmanship! The small emerald green beads are antique beads known as Indopacific beads. The origin of Indopacific beads is said to be as early as the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back to approximately the 10th century – over 1000 years old! The clasp is an S-hook, allowing for wear on either side.
