Despite the higher costs, we wanted to offer you a truly tactile piece. However, due to the presence of large color blocks, achieving uniform results with pure letterpress can be challenging. Therefore, for the expansive blue-green area, we employed offset printing, followed by an additional plate press to create a debossed effect, emulating the letterpress aesthetic. Finally, a touch of matte hot foil stamping completes the design. In total, each couplet utilizes four plates: one for letterpress, one for offset printing, one for debossing, and one for foil stamping. Each piece is meticulously aligned by hand. To enhance the tactile sensation of raised and lowered elements, the pressure for each plate varies – some deeper, some shallower.
