A bracelet connecting old Himachal silver, vintage mandarin-shaped carnelian, ancient agate, old Orissa brass & Chin silver, blue beads, and old Indian silver charms. The old Himachal silver, adorned with floral patterns, hails from the Himachal Pradesh region in the northwesternmost part of India. This is over 100-year-old silver, believed to have been previously paired with turquoise and coral. It has a hollow interior, making it not too heavy. (Dimensions of old Himachal silver: Width 1.7cm, Height 1.4cm, Thickness 0.7cm) *To incorporate a glimpse of Zenith blue Venetian antique beads, they are revealed through an opening in the connecting joint. The mandarin-shaped carnelian, with its charming striations, is a vintage bead from China. Glass beads of this shape can also be found in Japanese Edo-period beads (Wagyu) and among the Naga people of China. This carnelian is endearingly plump and in excellent condition, with subtle variations in stripe width that add to its appeal. Its color variations create a beautiful, warm glow when held up to the light. Unearthed from the Indus River basin (Pakistan, India, etc.), it dates back approximately 2000 years. This beautiful ancient agate has a uniquely calming presence. The blue beads are antique beads known as Indo-Pacific beads, with origins traced back to the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are excavated items from Indonesia, dating back to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! Emerald blue hues have been incorporated in two sections. The deep red beads are antique beads called White Hearts, named for their white core. These are Venetian beads from the 19th-20th centuries. The deep red White Hearts are a rare type known as "gold-red" White Hearts, as the red color is achieved using gold. The silver beads shaped like small pots, which sandwich the Himachal silver and vintage carnelian, and the multi-faceted beads bordering the ancient agate, are exceptionally rare old Chin silver. These are heirloom pieces from around the 18th-19th centuries, originating from Burma. They were used by Chin women in necklaces and exhibit a unique patina and endearing wear marks. Their weight and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though modern pieces can also be striking). These antique beads have become increasingly valuable in recent years. The dull golden hue comes from old Orissa brass, a very rare and valuable brass originating from India. The charm near the clasp is also old brass from India. The charm on the clasp is antique Indian silver, crafted between the 19th and early 20th centuries. With frequent wear, it is expected to develop a unique luster. The central motif depicts Bhumiya Ji, a legendary hero from Rajasthan, India, depicted riding a horse. (Dimensions: Height 1.8cm, Width 1.3cm - including the loop.)
