Hand-ground and Adjusted Calligraphy Nib: 1. For calligraphy nibs, it is recommended to first use it for dip pen writing (do not remove the converter installed in the barrel to prevent ink backflow into the pen body after writing) to allow it to adapt to the nib's characteristics. After some use, then refill with the converter for writing. 2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib that has been ground and adjusted to have a curved tip. The variation in line width is not achieved by pressing down, but by the angle of your grip, utilizing the nib's curvature to create different widths. Holding the pen more upright with less contact area between the nib and paper results in finer lines. Tilting the pen more or applying slight pressure increases the contact area, yielding broader lines. The ability to write thick or thin lines depends on your dexterity (each nib has a certain degree of pressure it can withstand; do not apply excessive force to avoid damaging or misaligning the nib.
