The works from P & F Ceramic Designs do not aim for mass production. Each creation possesses a unique concept and design, imbuing life into the pieces through purely hand-pinching or wheel-throwing processes. Every piece is one-of-a-kind. Our studio's works are created together by us as a couple, hence the signatures "Ping" or "Fan," and some pieces feature the "P & F Ceramic Designs" studio seal. Truly unique!!

**1. What is the origin of the works?**
We primarily use American clay, Japanese clay, and Taiwanese Miaoli clay for our creations.

**2. What is the wood-firing process?**
American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are mixed in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not on a wheel) to slowly form the shape. After basic shaping, the body lines are refined, and then polished to complete the greenware.
Once loaded into the kiln, the wood-firing process using natural longan wood and acacia wood lasts for five days and four nights continuously. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame marks flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple fire patterns.
After five days and four nights of ash and flame interaction, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! Because the kiln atmosphere differs with each wood-firing, the ash deposits and flame marks on each piece are never the same, making every piece truly unique!

**3. What should our esteemed guests be aware of?**
The product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the traces of the crafting process. Minor variations in the firing process, such as slight irregularities in the rim or minor crafting scratches, are normal phenomena. They are absolutely suitable for normal use. We appreciate your understanding!
