The pattern that looks black on the side is a changing technique called [Murakumonuri] that uses the soot of Japanese candles. Soot is added before the lacquer hardens, creating a pattern reminiscent of black clouds and flame fluctuations. Currently, there is only one craftsman who paints Murakumo in the mountains. In the future, we will also carry out a human resources development business at the same time to train young craftsmen who aim to become lacquer craftsmen.
