Silver Magatama Bracelet – Black × Silver

2,000 years of prayer, reimagined in silver. This bracelet is a modern reinterpretation of the mihogidama—one of Japan’s oldest forms of jewelry—recrafted in sterling silver to harmonize with contemporary fashion. Originally made of agate, mihogidama are composed of magatama (comma-shaped beads), tube beads, and round beads. These sacred forms have existed for over two millennia, often used in rituals and still regarded today as talismans for protection and spiritual balance. As a sculptor and owner of a traditional agate mihogidama bracelet, I was moved to recreate this piece in silver—so that its spiritual essence could be worn naturally in modern life. 【Design & Aesthetic】 The magatama centerpiece is cast in sterling silver and finished with a rich black plating, creating a solemn yet refined impression. The tube and round beads are left in polished silver to contrast and complement the darker element.
