Pouring Vessel: Saury

This is a teapot with a simple design, featuring a charming and cheerful depiction of saury, also known as the "spring herald fish." The saury motif adds a playful touch to the teapot, making your daily tea time more enjoyable. It's perfect for brewing Taiwanese tea, Chinese tea, black tea, and more. This piece is crafted on a potter's wheel using fine Shigaraki clay. The saury is carefully drawn and gradually colored, with multiple firings to achieve the final finish. The interior is glazed, and the tea strainer holes are finely pierced. It pours smoothly with excellent drip-free performance. The lid and body fit together perfectly with a precise ground finish. It is made with experience gained from years of studying sencha brewing. The delicate coloring technique is technically challenging, requiring careful management of temperature and humidity during the process.
