This 6-ounce tea caddy is unglazed and purely wood-fired. After enduring days of high-temperature flames, natural ash deposits create a jade-like luster, exuding a tranquil beauty. What is the wood-firing process?** Clays from the USA, Japan, and Miaoli are blended in varying proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-pinching (not a potter's wheel) to slowly form the piece, followed by refining the lines and polishing to complete the greenware. Once loaded into the kiln, the wood-firing process utilizes natural longan and acacia wood for five days and four nights continuously. Temperatures reach over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the pieces, forming a distinctive ash glaze. Simultaneously, the kiln's flame patterns flow between the works, creating beautiful fiery streaks of orange-red or blue-purple. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece reveals its exquisite form! Each work is an inimitable original. What should guests be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As each piece is meticulously handcrafted, it will inherently bear the marks of the maker's touch. Slight variations may also occur during the firing process, such as minor imperfections in the rim or subtle crafting scratches; these are normal characteristics and do not affect usability.
