Kimono Drawstring Bag | FUGURO | A Celebration of Auspicious Symbols | Medium Size - กระเป๋าเครื่องสำอาง - ผ้าฝ้าย สึชมพู

รายละเอียดสินค้า

<A one-of-a-kind beauty that brings you happiness> In the past, when people living in Watari, Miyagi Prefecture, gave gifts, they would place them in a "bag" made from leftover scraps of old kimonos. For example, it might have been used to hold one liter of rice, given as a celebration or a return gift. It didn't have a specific name and was called "fuguro," a corruption of "fukuro" (bag). "FUGURO" is a remake that revives this traditional custom. The material is kimono fabric with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of kimonos stored away in wardrobes. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, with wishes for the recipient's happiness sewn into its very being. We deliver a one-of-a-kind beauty that carries happiness to you, embodying the elegant custom of wrapping and gifting precious items, and sewing your gratitude into the product. Enjoy the beautiful stitching, created with two colors of thread to match the lining and outer fabric, a delight to the eye. <A Gift of Japan> As the material is kimono fabric, a symbol of Japanese culture, these items are popular as souvenirs for Japan and as gifts for international visitors. They are compact and easy to carry. Each item comes with a bilingual (Japanese/English) explanation. <Auspicious patterns signifying happiness> These are auspicious patterns used as "symbols of happiness." Understanding the meanings of Japanese patterns connects you to the profound depth of Japanese culture passed down through the ages. <Plum Blossom Pattern> "For success in exams," "Academic achievement," "Safe childbirth" Plum blossoms were believed to house Sugawara no Michizane, and were treated similarly to the god of learning. <Chrysanthemum Pattern> "Longevity," "Rejuvenation," "Health wishes" Chrysanthemums were believed to have anti-aging properties and were used medicinally. Considered the king of a hundred herbs and a symbol of longevity. <Cherry Blossom Pattern> "Abundant harvest," "Beauty wishes," "Prosperity and wealth" Cherry trees were believed to house the god of rice, and the blooming status predicted the year's harvest. <Camellia Pattern> "Longevity," "Business prosperity" Camellias were thought to possess the power to ward off evil spirits and were essential for Shinto and Buddhist rituals, considered a particularly sacred tree among evergreens. [Size] Height 27.5cm x Width 26cm x Gusset 6cm [Material] Outer fabric: Kimono fabric / Lining: Cotton, etc. <Notes for Purchase> *As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece is unique, with slight variations in size, shape, and pattern. *Only on rare occasions when we acquire particularly well-preserved kimono fabric will we create multiple pieces from the same fabric. Please note that the pattern placement may differ slightly from the photograph depending on where the fabric is cut. *The color and texture may appear different from the actual product due to differences in screen display. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing. *As the kimono fabrics used are often used items and their materials are not always specified, we often cannot identify the exact material. We thoroughly inspect and process the fabrics, including washing, before remaking them. Please handle with care, as some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet. *As these items are also sold on other sites, please forgive us in case of a sell-out.
