Bracelet with Ancient Carnelian, Old Chin Silver & Orissa Brass, and Antique Sax Blue & Blue Beads

A bracelet crafted by connecting ancient carnelian, old Chin silver & Orissa brass, and antique sax blue & blue beads. The beads in a beautiful gradient of orange are ancient carnelian excavated from Afghanistan. They possess a wonderfully smooth shape and a truly lovely hue! While there are some old scratches, they contribute to the carnelian's charming character. (Dimensions of ancient carnelian: 1.5cm width, 0.7cm height, 0.5cm depth) The plump silver beads sandwiching the ancient carnelian are extremely rare old Chin silver, dating back to approximately the 18th-19th centuries. These were sourced from Burma. Traditionally used by Chin women for necklaces and other adornments, they display a unique patina and endearing imperfections. Their weight and presence are incomparable to modern silver (though modern pieces can also be quite striking...). These antique beads have seen a significant price increase in recent years. The beads with a muted golden hue are old Orissa brass, originating from the state of Orissa in India. These are highly coveted metal beads. The bell-like component near the clasp is old silver from India, another rare find. The primary connecting beads, in a sax blue, are old Venetian beads that made their way to the Naga tribe in India. Their color is truly exquisite, and their translucence is amplified when held up to the light, showcasing the beads' captivating charm! This is a very limited arrival. The slightly deeper blue beads are antique beads known as Indopacific beads. The origins of Indopacific beads are traced back to the 2nd century BCE. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back an astonishing 1000 years, to around the 10th century! Their varying sizes and shades make them endlessly fascinating. The slightly curved clasp and ring components are Karen silver. Each tiny piece of Karen silver is meticulously stamped with a pattern, a detail that evokes a sense of wonder at the craftsmanship. ◇ Karen Silver ◇ This silver is crafted by the mountain tribes residing in Thailand and Burma. Each piece is handmade and is said to be of exceptionally high purity. The bracelet is strung on waxed cord, which may feel slightly stiff initially but will soften and become more pliable with wear.
