The "Rose Brooch" is actually mini-rose sized. The "Peony Corsage" is actually large-rose sized. Finally, the "Large Peony Corsage" is born! While the "Peony Corsage" measures approximately 7cm (height) x 7cm (width) x 3.5cm (depth, excluding clasp), some customers have commented that it is "too small." In response to a customer's request (from around March 2022) on social media, who wished to see a 10cm peony, the owner decided to fulfill this desire. It measures approximately 12cm in diameter and 5cm in height. While we call it "large-flowered" in our product line, it accurately reflects the size of a real, fresh peony. As shown in the 4th image, it's a size that fits generously on a tray, sized to hold one bloom, alongside an adult woman's hand. The previous "Peony Corsage" (images 7-8) is so much smaller that three could fit on the same tray. The petals are made from acrylic beads, meticulously finished with a matte texture, just like our previous floral designs. This creates a beautiful, soft glow from within the petals, reminiscent of real flowers. The transparent yet form-holding acrylic resin petals are individually hand-sewn onto felt to create the flower shape. What began as an intention to simply enlarge the existing design for the "Large Peony Corsage" was a path far from smooth. The most challenging aspect was selecting the base material. The felt used for the "Rose Brooch" and "Peony Corsage" could not maintain the shape when lifted after sewing the petals and stamens. We finally achieved the desired form by switching to a firmer, high-quality felt designed for bead embroidery. Similar to our other pieces, a stiff backing is attached to the back of the felt with the sewn petals, and this is then covered with felt to which the brooch pin is attached. This size is quite large for Heart Bouquet's typically Japanese customer base, who often prefer smaller items.
