Atelier Lyreasta: Phantom Quartz (Ghost Quartz) and Red Super Seven Sterling Silver Necklace

Phantom Quartz (Ghost Quartz) Necklace. The main central pendant measures 36x24mm. The accompanying beads are Red Super Seven Quartz (5.5mm), Garnet (5mm), and faceted silver beads. The clasp and metal findings are all 925 silver. The internal wire is Japanese steel wire. The chain on the other side is a 925 silver decorative chain. The current total length of the necklace is 60cm, and the length can be adjusted. If shortened, it will be adjusted proportionally from both sides. If lengthened, an extension chain can be added. This piece is truly a crystallization of various coincidences and encounters. The cabochon-cut phantom quartz in this batch was actually selected by me when a previous custom order client was looking for phantom quartz that wasn't green. As usual, I picked a few extra, and in the end, the client chose a different one. The remaining loose stones then found their way into my collection box. When it comes to the scenery within phantom quartz, it's truly in the eye of the beholder. I naturally chose what I personally love. This main stone radiates a fiery hue from the center, with scattered layers of depth resembling a mountain landscape in late autumn. The red leaves, following their cycle, transition from vibrancy to tranquility. The thin frost that falls before dawn is a harbinger of the changing seasons. Taking a deep breath of the increasingly crisp mountain air, the colors that met my eyes were then sealed within a single crystal. After the design for the main stone was finalized, it was completed smoothly. However, finding the right beads for the accompanying chain took me quite some time, browsing through numerous online and offline mineral shops. Initially, I was looking for phantom quartz beads of a similar color. But it's not easy to find small phantom quartz beads of good quality, beautiful color, and that don't look suspicious. Usually, beads of at least 6mm are a bit easier to choose from. However, the difference in appearance when the bead diameter is just 1mm larger on the neck is truly significant. Because of this, the main pendant sat in the semi-finished section for quite a while. It wasn't until one time I happened to see this batch of Red Super Seven, and its color perfectly matched my ideal. The artistic concept and the scenery of the main stone were also very complementary. Although the budget jumped several levels compared to what was originally allocated for phantom quartz beads, for me, this was undoubtedly the best choice. This is a mineral with many trade names; it's likely also what's called second-generation Golden Strawberry. In any case, they all contain hematite inclusions within the crystal😆. Besides the Red Super Seven, I also added Garnet to echo the central colors of the main stone. The silver beads and silver chain naturally complement the lighter tones. With this, the continuous mountain landscape I envisioned could be fully presented. Every mineral with a unique landscape is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. For styling, besides commercially available silver chains, pieces with sterling silver treated for vulcanization (antiquing) are also recommended to be paired with stainless steel chains for better color harmony. ❖ During the wire weaving process, there may be slight clamping or cutting marks on the wire due to handling pressure. This generally does not affect the wearing effect. ❖ "Artistic Copper Wire" indicated refers to craft wire consisting of copper wire + plating + protective layer. "Red Copper Wire" and "Yellow Copper Wire" refer to bare copper wire (without plating). Silver wire will be specified as 925 or 999 silver. ❖ Natural stones may inherently have characteristics such as cloudiness, patterns, or mineral inclusions. There may also be minor imperfections from drilling or polishing. ❖ Shipping is by default in simple packaging, including clean protective cushioning materials and a shipping bag. A sealed bag will also be provided for easy storage. 【Artistic Copper Wire Woven Jewelry】 ❖ Artistic copper wire is craft wire consisting of pure copper wire + plating + protective layer. With normal use and care, the color can remain largely unchanged for several years. ❖ Because the surface has plating and a protective layer, please do not use silver polishing cloths or toothpaste for cleaning, as this will rapidly wear down the plating. ❖ After wearing, please wipe off any moisture (especially sweat) with a soft cloth and store it in the provided sealed bag. ❖ Please try to avoid wearing the jewelry during activities that cause heavy sweating, such as sports, and when bathing in hot springs. Natural oxidation is a normal phenomenon (they will gradually turn into a bronze/antique silver color). The color change and oxidation speed will vary depending on wear and individual body chemistry, which is also part of the character of bare copper wire jewelry. In terms of oxidation speed, red copper wire tends to oxidize faster (turning antique red-copper color within days to weeks), while brass and silver oxidize more slowly. ❖ Wire treated with vulcanization (antiquing) has a more stable color tone compared to untreated wire. However, polished areas will also gradually oxidize naturally. ❖ If you wish to clean oxidized areas, you can generally use a silver polishing cloth or gently scrub with toothpaste, then dry or use a hairdryer on a cool setting. ❖ After wearing, please wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth and store it in the provided sealed bag. ❖ Please try to avoid wearing the jewelry during activities that cause heavy sweating, such as sports, and when bathing in hot springs. This will not only accelerate wire oxidation but may also damage the natural stones. ❖ Unplated wire pieces can be sent back for re-polishing later (only return shipping fees will apply). 【Natural Stones】 ❖ Natural minerals may have cloudiness, patterns, mineral inclusions, or black spots. There may also be minor imperfections from drilling or polishing during processing. ❖ The natural stones used in the pieces are mostly semi-precious stones. Some types of minerals may have lower hardness (this will be specifically noted). Please try to avoid contact between silver polishing cloths, toothpaste, or other polishing agents and the natural stone parts when maintaining the metal components of the jewelry. ❖ Please try to avoid wearing the jewelry during activities that cause heavy sweating and when bathing in hot springs, as this may damage the natural stones.
