About the Fabric
The fabric is an imported, iridescent glazed silk yarn.
As light and delicate as a cicada's wing.
During weaving, the inclusion of glazed silk threads allows the fabric to achieve a natural translucence in sunlight, reminiscent of a cicada's wing.
It offers a soft, comfortable feel for summer wear, light and flowing.
As the pipa sleeve's shape is already elegantly designed, we chose not to overpower it with overly ornate fabric.
The fabric's inherent vertical textured pleats are just right.
The overall texture is soft and comfortable, yet possesses a subtle structure.
About the Fit
Classic round neckline silhouette.
The Ming Dynasty-inspired pipa sleeve is cut and then sewn.
Through multiple adjustments to the sleeve's curve, we have preserved the complete pipa sleeve shape.
The sleeves are generously cut, offering a more accommodating fit for various body types.
Although cutting the sleeves and body as one piece is material-intensive, the superior resulting aesthetic makes it worthwhile.
The placket features two pairs of ties. They can be worn loose to drift with the breeze or tied for a secure fit.
The cuffs are designed with a drawstring, so the wide sleeves won't be cumbersome.
A subtle slit is incorporated into the side seams of the hem, adding a touch of fluidity to the overall silhouette.
