|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"A person cultivates jade for three years, and jade cultivates a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess powerful energy fields but require regular cleansing. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is known for its gentle and soft properties. While its energy field may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally pure and clean, offering only beneficial influences and dissipating negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been identified in jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI[Si2 O6]—often containing trace elements such as calcium (Ca), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), magnesium (Mg), and iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains more than 2% chromium.
Green: Contains more than 2% chromium and divalent iron.
Yellow: Contains iron elements.
Purple: Contains manganese elements.
Blue: Similar to green but rarer.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with presence in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily functions, playing a crucial role at every stage of life, from youth to adulthood and old age. It is an indispensable element for human health and longevity, a macromineral essential for the body.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is significantly important for maintaining normal physiological functions. It helps prevent cardiovascular diseases and regulate blood sugar. The body cannot synthesize it and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. For individuals with type 2 diabetes, chromium can enhance insulin sensitivity. It aids overweight individuals in controlling cholesterol and blood sugar. Those experiencing high stress levels lose chromium faster than average, making it particularly necessary for these groups.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. An adult's body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the intestines, with unabsorbed nickel largely excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another type of trace element that protects the body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium effectively regulates calcium and maintains normal neuromuscular function, with both elements working synergistically. Magnesium inhibits platelet aggregation, so deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can lead to chronic inflammation and is associated with many chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular mortality. Studies have shown that individuals who drink hard water, which has relatively higher calcium and magnesium content, have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, normal blood magnesium levels reduce the risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) aids enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it an essential trace element. An adult's body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven-tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron for proper functioning.
Medical research suggests jadeite possesses significant therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear can not only prevent illnesses but also alleviate or even treat certain conditions.
Treating Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions occasionally experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can help alleviate this common ailment. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a lasting effect.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the functions of "clearing middle-Jiao heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, strengthening the five Zang organs, calming the spirit, promoting blood circulation, and enhancing vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions of the body's organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can be in direct contact with the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite are absorbed by the body, nourishing the skin and making women appear fairer and more radiant.
Cooling Down: Jadeite's cool properties provide a soothing sensation and relief from heat. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would place jade in her mouth to cool down during summer. Since then, summer has become a time of cool tranquility. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to dissipate heat.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason is that when feeling down or stressed, gazing at jadeite can bring an inexplicable sense of emotional healing, as if finding comfort.
