For Yu-Chun, the brand "Hua Yin" is a confluence of love from two families, stemming from the origins of the coffee estate and the names of her maternal grandmothers.
Yu-Chun, who initially pursued social work as a vocation, returned to her hometown of Nantou driven by her love for family. Beyond coffee cultivation, she dedicates time to teaching disadvantaged families and individuals with disabilities the art of bean selection.
This year, Yu-Chun has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Young Farmers! She is forging her own path, embracing coffee, social work, and love.

**Guided by Flavor, Revealing the Essence of Sun Moon Lake**
__The mist and clouds nurturing the coffee, the areca trees they grow alongside, and the birds living freely within the estate—these are the most beautiful sights here.__
Hua Yin Estate, situated in a lower-altitude region, relies on the moisture from nearby Sun Moon Lake to cultivate high-quality coffee. The entire estate grows a single variety, SL34. Hua Yin employs various post-harvest processing methods to bring out diverse flavor profiles from their coffee.
The washed beans offer notes of plum and prune with a clean, refreshing finish reminiscent of tea. The honey-processed beans exhibit balanced acidity and a sweet honeyed character. The natural-processed beans possess ripe fruit aromas and a rich, dark chocolate finish.
Each of the three processing methods is paired with a distinct illustration and text that depict the local landscape, accompanied by brewing recommendations on the packaging. Enjoy your coffee while delving into the terroir story of this region.

**From Natural Process to Honey Process to Washed Process**
__A Tasting Guide to Three Distinct Terroir Flavors__
Open the booklet and follow the tasting notes to record your preferred coffee flavors. Savor three different drip coffee preparations, expanding your palate and exploring the unique terroir of Taiwanese coffee.
The natural-processed beans offer ripe fruit aromas with a rich dark chocolate finish. The honey-processed beans, with their mucilage layer imparting a slight honey sweetness and a medium-light roast's fruit acidity, present a balanced sweet and tart profile. The washed process, though intricate, yields a pronounced fruit acidity with a tea-like finish, resulting in an overall clean and refreshing cup.

**About Lai Yi Pao Lu**
__Take a break with a cup of tea or coffee and let us share the story of this place.__
The abundant moisture from nearby Sun Moon Lake creates a unique low-altitude sea of clouds. Daily mists envelop the mountains, nourishing not only the tea trees but also cultivating Taiwanese coffee. Tea and coffee share the same terroir, offering a cup infused with the essence of the clouds.
The century-old tea-picking paths have witnessed the Japanese colonial era, the Nationalist government period, and the devastation and revival following the 921 earthquake. Today, we walk the tea-scented lanes once more, charting a path for tasting. Following the guidance of tea farmers, we inhale the aroma of tea processing and count the ripening coffee cherries, learning to savor the time it takes to brew a pot of tea or sip a cup of coffee.
