Hand-woven Wool Long Stole - Morning Dew Garden

A generously sized, hand-woven long stole made with Saori weaving. Though it may be difficult to see in the photos, the blue section at the bottom has fine silver lamé threads that sparkle when light hits them. I wove this imagining the joyful conversation of flowers blooming one after another and the plants sparkling with morning dew. Dimensions: Approximately 35cm wide x 192cm long (including fringe of approx. 5cm), weighing 186g. It's a long stole, so enjoy the variety of ways you can wear it. As it uses a variety of yarns, including merino wool, mohair, and decorative threads, the shrinkage rate is not uniform. After weaving, it is felted (thoroughly washed to remove dirt and soften the texture). Therefore, the width is not uniform. The width varies between approximately 33cm and 36cm, but we hope you will enjoy this characteristic of a hand-woven stole. I create colors by blending yarns and change them gradually as I weave. I've added about 1cm of fringe along the sides, so when layered, the colors create a cute, fluffy stole. In winter, flowers become scarce and clothing colors tend to be darker. I hope that whoever wears this stole will bring the gentle colors of flowers and plants to the city. This is how I wove it with that wish in mind. Use a "neutral detergent" (such as Acron or Emal, detergents for delicate clothing) mixed well in cool or lukewarm water (0-30°C). Gently swish or press wash. Rinse gently twice, remove excess water with a towel, reshape, and dry in the shade (entire process takes about 2-3 minutes).
